Ferries at the bottom of the garden!

The view looking north from Coarsewall Lighthouse on the Rhinns of Galloway in SWScotland.

Hubby and I had afternoon tea at the lighthouse (smoked salmon sandwiches, scones and copious amounts of tea) and watched the world sail by!

The ferry is exiting Loch Ryan and heading to Belfast and the village on the coastline directly behind the ferry is Ballantrae - about three miles from our home.

There's an entry in the visitors book here which reads: "There are ferries at the bottom of the garden"... very droll!
