Gladiolus

These are the white gladioli I wrote about yesterday and whose buds I photographed. This one spike is peaking and there are more waiting to burst into bloom. The flowers are dense on the stem and are putting on a great show.

I've had a busy week of being out and about and so far there are covid alerts for three of the places I visited - the pub, the gym and the Art Gallery of NSW. Case numbers are rocketing and everyone is so fed up.

The extra may provide some comic relief. Snapped from an upstairs window, they are the concreters waiting to start the day's work on a house a few doors down, it would appear after a big night.
