The second half of life..

Fly-by

My car had an appointment early this morning.  For a l-o-n-g time I haven't been able to drop one side of the back seat down to increase carrying capacity.  On a whim earlier this week I booked it in to the Nissan workshop to investigate and hopefully fix.  To cut a longer story very short - the culprit was a broken latch which cost under $10 to replace.  The cost to have the cheap latch replaced though - over $170!  I needed some fresh air after it was fixed (which, when all said and done, is the most important thing) so headed to the Boulder Bank.  Not a great deal of action - just a fly-by or two and a little sitting around (see extras).  A few more domestic and other jobs completed too which was great.  Still not feeling in the slightest bit Christmassy.....

In COVID news there were 76 new community cases today; 51 are in hospital, 5 in ICU.  Again, no new cases in Nelson and we're now at 94% partially vaxed and 89% fully vaxed.  Not too many now before we've reached the 90% fully vaxed level.

The timing of the daily reports is changing - from a 9.00am-9.00am cycle to a midnight to midnight cycle so today's data reflects more than 33 hours - tomorrow's will reflect less than 15 hours.
