Glory of the Snow

Chionodoxa cretica, Cretan Glory of the Snow. A tiny flower, less than half the size of common Glory of the Snow, Chionodoxa forbesii, the flowers are less than 1cm across. Seen en-masse it is nonetheless beautiful. The tiny bulbs grow at great depth in the mountains of Crete and flower as the snow melts ..... so perhaps Spring is finally on its way here too!
