Mary Stanford Lifeboat Station

I posted a shot of this now derelict building and it’s tragic story on the coast between Rye Harbour and Winchelsea in July this year. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2867534177069172180 We were back again in somewhat different conditions with friends Bob and Sue for a day out by the coast.

Plenty of people out walking in the raw, damp conditions. We had a coffee and bit of cake in the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre before setting off into the gloom.

While this shot is of the same building it is a different perspective with people giving it a moody feeling and the look of an album cover.

By 3.00pm we’d had enough and drove to the Pilot for this month’s fish and chips. Well, that’s what I had, the others had various forms of pies. Going early was our plan to reduce the risk of being inside a pub. Fortunately, there were very few customers so we felt reasonably safe.

There wasn’t any time to visit your journals today, thank you for all your comments. I’ll be back tomorrow, all being well.
