Making Hard Work of It!

Watching the antics of the birds on the feeders today.  I think this is a juvenile goldfinch who hasn't quite learnt its parents technique of holding on to the feeder and extracting the sunflower at their leisure.  It still managed to extract a piece and retire to a nearby brach to enjoy the food.

We certainly had quite a few different finches around today with chaffinch, Greenfinch as well as the ubiquitous goldfinches.The robins, dunnocks, blue and great tits were also around.
