Wells-Next-The-Sea

We woke to a thick mist and drizzle, a true Netflix and sitting around the fire kind of day, but as we needed to take Xena out for a walk we had to get going. I was not keen to do a big walk in such miserable weather, so we drove to Wells-Next-The-Sea as I wanted to see the lobster pot Christmas tree (see extra) It was damp and cold so while Gavin and I had a short wander around the village and then went for a coffee, Inca and Tommy walked to the beach huts with Xena as I was feeling too lazy to do that.

This was the scene of the boats at Wells in the soft rain and mist, it was a colourless kind of day.

We had a lovely lunch out and of course at this time of year as you finish lunch it is already getting dark. Not long till it is the shortest day of the year and then we can look forward to longer days starting again.

More gloomy news about Omicron with more European countries going into lockdowns, and tighter restrictions on British travellers. We are expecting tighter restrictions in England after Christmas.
