Garden Pest?

The Rosemary Beetle is considered a garden pest in the UK, which is unfortunate for this rather pretty insect.  I unexpectedly found this one on some purple sage as I put out the rubbish, given we are now well into winter. I did try to move it to a more photogenic spot, but it was in a deep stupor or deceased and fell into the undergrowth where I left it.
