Crinckly Ice

The ice sparkled in the sunlight catching my eye. Nestled in amongst rocks it was protected from waves washing over it. Looking closer, the larger foreground rock had smoother ice, in contrast. I liked the warm coloured rock in the centre back and the bits of warm light falling on some rock faces; subtle sidelight.

f16 did not provide quite enough dof to keep the back and front rocks sharp. I toyed with a 16:9 crop, which helped and brought the crinckly ice forward in the image. But in the end I plumped for the original, I liked the balance better.
