Marsh Ice

It was so windy down by the lake, my eyes watered and couldn't keep the camera still enough. Instead, I walked to the marsh where it is sheltered and concentrated on photographing patches of ice. I had to be careful because the ground, although crunchy, was not fully frozen.

I looked for interesting patterns amongst the dried grass and frosted leaves, some half submerged. Most images came out a bit chaotic, but this one seems to have more direction to it and I like the few small orange coloured leaves in the centre.

I feel as though I'm slowly building a series of things above and below the surface, although my idea is not yet fully formed.
