An enjoyable day out

We had a most enjoyable day out today.  Together with 15 other members of our Tuesday morning Eastridge Walking Group, we caught a ferry from central Auckland out to Hobsonville Point, which was formerly home to the Hobsonville air base and is now a master-planned community.  We had lunch at a Thai restaurant called Siamese Doll. It was a most convivial day and so nice to be out on the water.  When we arrived back in central Auckland hubby and I completed the day with a delicious ice cream from Island Gelato.

The blip shows various scenes from the restaurant, with a glass of bubbles for Christmas cheer.

There are 56 new community cases today - 33 in Auckland, 6 in Waikato, 11 in Bay of Plenty, 4 in the Lakes area, 1 in Taranaki and 1 in Wellington. There are now 28 cases of Omicron in MIQ (Managed Isolation and Quarantine).
