Prettier than expected

I wasn't thinking I'd need to dash up the hill today so Little Dog came too for a slow wander. We wandered on when we spotted this from afar.  

No chance of brocken spectres today as the layer of cloud built above quite quickly. I didn't fancy a circuit because I couldn't draw myself away from the edge so we walked there and back almost the same way, with the cloud inversion changing constantly.  

Little Dog got the zoomies as we approached the top of the Cow and Calf, making me laugh and burning her last few bits of energy before we headed on down.
