The second half of life..

By twigs

Oooh yummy - centipede for lunch.

I finally got to start what I've needed to do since spring........wash the house.  It's by no means my favourite job but it does help to keep the old place looking smart, it helps protect the paint and it de-cobwebs nooks and crannies.  I bought a new ladder for the job yesterday and it certainly seems a lot more solid than my old one.  Still don't like going very high though which creates a few issues when the house is 2-storey.  Thank goodness for long and extendable brush hose fittings.

The weather today was perfect for the wash - hot!  There's always plenty of spray and drips and so it's a great way of cooling down.  Finished most of the house - just the (very high) northern side to do (which actually isn't too bad) and the last corner of the front where the hose didn't quite reach to.

Feeling chuffed :)

As was this young thing when it caught its delicious lunch.

In COVID news, there were 56 new community cases today; 51 are in hospital and 5 in ICU.  It was alaso announced that parents of 5-11 year olds will be able to book their vaccines early next year, beginning before the return to school.  This will add a potential 476,000 more people who could be vaccinated.
