Lensbaby Stars

Christmas Tree lights are so much more interesting using a Lensbaby star aperture filter - these small discs with their cut-out shapes fit neatly into the lens - you could do the same with a piece of cardboard over your lens front to change the shape of the bokeh; there's also some double exposure blending here.

Last minute (well, most of it) shopping this afternoon and present wrapping this evening.  I am seeing younger daughter tomorrow and passing all the presents over - she is heading to older daughter & family for Christmas Day so we thought we would get all the presents at least in the right places.  We have plans to all get together on New Year's Day (strictly a business / planning meeting) but wonder whether that will actually happen. We are all triple-jabbed and, of these two families, all but three have actually had Covid - so we feel as protected as most.

I feel vey sorry for those who may, yet again, spend Christmas alone; it is a time when you do need some company.  Of our immediate neighbours, we are all gathering together on the drive at the front of the houses for a glass of something and one will play carols on his tuba!  We did this for VE day last year (the playing not the carols) and attracted quite a crowd - the tuba is not a quiet instrument!

So - almost ready for Christmas.  It creeps up on me every year!
