Salmon Eggs

After yesterday's celebratory blip its back to the small, often overlooked, things that I like so much. Individually the sporangium are tiny but when they coalesce like this you really can't miss them - a lovely swarm of pink slime mould appropriately known as "Salmon eggs" but more correctly as Trichia decipiens. This lot would easily fit under a one pence piece. As usual I'm left wondering why I don't carry my macro lens with me.

Many thanks to everyone who left comments, stars and hearts for my 10th anniversary blip yesterday.
