Heiligabend/Xmas-Eve

Do not go shopping on the 24th.  It's just awful out there. Germany is closed tomorrow and Sunday and that means "Hamsterkauf!!!!"* with the attendant lack of respect for anyone else.  I mean how can anyone survive 2 whole days without food shopping?

I'm planning a cream of cauliflower and broccoli soup for today.  I bought a crusty loaf this morning just to have something to dunk in it.

Oh and in reading the (online) paper I saw a picture of Roger McGough.  It's a nice story about the song Lily The Pink.

Roger McGough wrote one of my favourite poems ever.  And i offer it to you as a sort of Xmas present.  It has no title that I can find.
