Palo Santo burner and friends

I mistook the chunk of palo santo for something edible earlier but it was unyielding to the persuasion of my inscisors. D asked me to make her such a bowl a few days ago, as the ones from Cornwall are rather expensive. The novelty is the red pigment which contains all sorts of rather heavy elements. They are bound into the material to make them relatively non-toxic but just the same, ceramic reds frequently contain cadmium and selenium, so they are not intended to be in contact with food. I also used a new white which behaved maybe even slightly better than the marginally more expensive matt one.
