Christmas Eve.

They arrived at 11.15pm a record!  The girls were happy despite being woken and we had a few minutes taking in the Christmas tree and other remembered treasures. Eda was promised a tree in the room which she was thrilled with even though it is very small. We had three Christmassy stories before settling down with the twinkling lights on the little tree.

Not too early a start but we walked up to St Ives and Coppice Pond to feed the ducks even though it was rather damp.
After lunch we managed to give Jude a quick nap before heading up to church for the 3.00 pm Christingle Service. Nit ver busy but a lovely feature of Christmas Eve. The blip was taken at the point where the lights were turned out and tge candles on the Christingles lit whilst we sang Away in a Manger.

After John took a photo of us in front of the village Christmas tree. Extra

The other extras are Jude in her Robin pj’s enjoying Boppa’s Stressless chair and investigating the Christmas tree.

A lovely, non stop Christmas Eve. I’m pooped as I didn’t sleep very well after all the adrenaline of the families arrival last night and not getting to bed till after 1.00 pm. We’ve had a lovely supper and the girls are now bathed.

Just waiting for Eda to put out the reindeer food and a treat for Santa before I take on my bedtime story duty.

Chris is going to the Midnight service but I’m not sure I will last that long.

I hope those of you who celebrate have a wonderfully happy, healthy and safe Christmas.
