Unexpected bonus

I was due to be working from 7.30am to 8pm as usual but at 11.30am after one of our children went home all our names were put in a hat and mine was pulled out. This meant I could take some annual leave and head home.
I was then here when parents arrived and we could go to the Carol Service at 4pm. A friend from work who had also got annual leave came with her daughter which was really lovely. We were given glow sticks instead of candles as you can see here!
We had a relaxing evening including watching All Creatures Great and Small. Now heading to bed in the hope that Santa is on his way.
