Boxing day

Weather wise, an absolute cracker. We filled it appropriately.

A Boxing Day tradition particularity with these two (and Doug) is to have pavlova and berries for breakfast.  These two did it justice…..berries, ice cream, pav roll, walnut torte and brandy snaps. Even before that they had slices of ham off the bone and butterflied lamb for starters. 

A host  of sporting activities filled our day….golf out in the paddock, croquet on the lawn.  This afternoon we went to the beach.  Caroline Bay was  absolutely seething with locals and holiday makers….swimmers, beach crickets, volleyball, kites, boogie boards, canoes, happy families all over.  Our two took their boards out into the waves and had a good time. They said the water was cold.
The family have gone to friends for a bbq tonight, a perfect evening for outdoor dining. 
We’re enjoying a quiet evening, and watching BBC Earth - Judy Dench in Borneo.  Enjoyable
