Jinxy

It was b..... cold this morning with one of those lazy winds that seem to go through you but Jinxy didn't seem to mind. He's fast approaching 9 years old now but still full of life.
This morning we were walking over towards Widecombe-in-the- moor following a track that leads to Pil Tor on Backslade Down. This crosses over a stream called "Blackslade Water" at a ford called, you will never guess, Blackslade Ford.!!

I know fascinating stuff but all jinxy wanted to do was get wet! Mind you there was ice around the edge of the ford and he seemed happy enough when I said "No".

Keen Jinxy watchers may notice that the boy is wearing his slinky summer coat.
He was trimmed a couple of weeks ago because with the wet weather, he carried a couple of gallons of water with him every time he came back in the house.

We have been promised "winter showers" for this evening and it was already trying hard this afternoon so we will see.
