Proof

That the sun struggled through the clouds for half an hour. S and I seized the opportunity to walk to the lake (about 2 km there and back), the longest walk since we've been here. By the time we got back it was threatening to rain again.

R and H set off for home at about midday, and S made a classic potage bonne femme for lunch, using turkey stock. I'm now making a pie with most of the left-over turkey, leeks, ham, and cream. Comfort food is just what we need!
