Around the House

It has been so very wet and grey, we have been unlucky with the weather over Christmas. It rained most of the night and was raining this morning when I took Xena for a (very muddy) walk in the woods. Gavin, Luke and Adam left home early to play golf and they had a very wet round of golf on a very soggy course. Tommy stayed home to work on his studies.

I decided not to take any photos on my walk this morning, as it was dull and raining, and instead decided to find something around the house to photograph when I got home. Then I realised that it was the theme of the Mono Monday challenge this week. I decided to take a photo of Tommy cooking his lunch - he had just finished doing gym and had his airpods in so did not even hear me come in and sneakily take this shot.

We should have been driving to Switzerland today but France's ban on Brits meant we could not drive through there. With Covid being so rampant and the chaos at airports due to so many cancelled flights due to staff shortages we have stayed home instead. The boys had air tickets booked but have managed to get vouchers instead - no actual refunds of cash possible as British airways do not answer the phone - Luke held on for over an hour on more than one occasion trying to get a refund, but BA customer service is non existent these days, its an online voucher or nothing. No snow for us this year and our Christmas tree that the caretaker of the building put up for us on the terrace remains unseen by us.

Pip arrives later today - she did a LFT before she left home and all is fine.
