Blackbird

I watched this blackbird for a good 10 minutes this afternoon pecking bits of flesh out of an apple on my neighbour’s tree. I am not sure if it is a female or a young male but it has hollowed out the apple so that the skin looks like a bowl. There are several other apples which have had the same treatment and one left in reserve.
