Snow and sunshine

A beautiful day today - early dark skies rolling back later on to reveal a blue sky and sunshine. We had a lovely walk, some 4 miles or so, from near Connel along a back road which ends up in Glencruitten. The road is technically a public one, but a sign at the end says 'Unsuitable for motor vehicles', though a lot of it has recently been surfaced and I wouldn't hesitate to drive along it. I hope it doesn't catch on though, as there are no lay-byes and few places to pass, so let's hope it stays as a farm road used by walkers and cyclists. Looking back down the road we saw this lovely view with snow on the peaks beyond.

We passed a smallholding and one of the houses we passed on Friday, and stopped to chat with the owners who were working outside. We came back through the horsey country for the third time in a week and stopped to talk to a few ponies too! All round a lovely day!
