I’ve been up at a ridiculously early hour the past few mornings so wasn’t surprised that I found myself having a siesta after lunch. 

After that I didn’t feel like a long (for me) walk but thought that if I could park on the way to or in Grasmere I’d have a short wander. Well, I did eventually find a space ……. not a free one on the roadside but one in a car park with a minimum charge of £3. That’s more than I’m prepared to pay for a half hour walk and blip so I reversed into the space, left the engine running, took a few shots and drove off. 

The sunset looked promising but I was comfy on the sofa so didn’t move. 


I was shocked when, driving through Rydal, I saw a load of rubbish (looked like takeaway meal packaging) at the roadside.
