Emily!

This morning was our last with the grandchildren so I had to get the "school photos" done. I was so pleased when Emily appeared, after breakfast in the lovely purple dress she'd worn on Christmas Day.

By mid morning the kids were having drinks. Dad had said "Be careful with that orange juice!" Ah, not being careful with orange juice Emily arrived in the kitchen in a change of clothes. Both kids were in a good mood for sitting still in front of the camera then Emily decided on a move of chairs and a change of position. I loved her confidence!

Dan also fancied an alternative pose!

After lunch we set off home, like everyone else doing the same thing, we got delayed in queues on the A1(M). Quite a foggy journey but we were home safely before tea. 

Neither Kat, nor I felt up to cooking or eating much so she opened some tins of tomatoes, raided the herb jars and made us some lovely soup.
