WinterFest

Our 10th and final amusement park of the year is Kings Dominion. We were allowed to leave work early, so Jill and I hit the road to visit this park for its WinterFest event. This photo is of the Eiffel Tower.

It was a fun visit. Three roller coasters were open. We got two rides on Twisted Timbers -- it's excellent, as always -- and one on Dominator, which was a bit shaky in the second half. The kiddy coaster was open, but I didn't want to wait in that long line when the park was only open for five hours.

The fog was really thick in places on the roughly 3-hour drive home. I had to slow down and turn on my hazards in places. Most of the drive home was foggy. That's a bit scary. But we made it, fed the dogs, watched an episode of a show and went to bed.

A few photos in extras: Twisted Timbers' first drop, lights around the park, the Eiffel Tower as fog sets in.
