I managed to squeeze in a last run of the year this morning in between the showers.  It was mild weather again - no hat, no gloves, one top layer (and my waterproof just in case).

I sent these brilliant crochet cards from The Leith Collective to my friends who have early January birthdays.

We finished watching The Beatles: Get Back documentary, directed by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings).  In three parts, a total of eight hours, it was absorbing watching The Fab Four making their 'final' music together.  No prima donnas, no fall outs - just four brilliant musicians and their support team working very hard to create memorable music.  It was a privilege to see them at work although tinged with sadness knowing this was almost their last work and they would disband the following year.  The documentary ends with the 30 January 1969 legendary performance from the Apple Studio's rooftop.  The attempted intervention by the local constabulary to stop the show is priceless.
