Bystock Pools

Its a very warm end to the year with a temperature of 15C as we all went for a short walk around Bystock Pools late morning. The weather had been fairly dull and cloudy but we managed to catch a short period of sunshine as we wandered around the heathland.  There wasn't much animal life but we spotted a wood pecker and a blue tit.  The colours at this time of year are also quite dramatic with the golden hues of the ferns and grasses against the bright greens of holly trees and Scots pines.

Good to get a short walk in.  This evening its just the three of us celebrating the New Year in.  Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year.  Thank you also for the stars, hearts and messages for my 8 year blip anniversary yesterday.
