Nearly finished

Another fine day, although a bit more windy which kept the temperature low - it didn't feel as high as the predicted 8C. Yet more digging - the vegetable patch is all but complete! Managed to extract an old tree root about 4' long and 4" in diameter. And decided to re-plant the bulbs mentioned yesterday - well there's plenty of space and not too much else growing in the field at present. Ended the day pretty exhausted and without a blip. So, this one comes from the box labelled 'emergency'! It's pretty good stuff, by the way - the pumice works a treat.

Further to last Sunday's comment about BST, it was interesting to note a report in today's Herald that the idea of changing permanently to British Summer Time (putting the clocks an hour ahead of GMT) is unlikely to proceed at least until the end of the decade. Great! There's certainly not much enthusiasm for the idea in Scotland! Unfortunately, there doesn't seem much interest south of the border in sticking with GMT all year.
