Barely alight

New Year's Day. Colin came to lunch. We started with smoked salmon followed by honey and  mustard glazed gammon with cauliflower cheese and mashed potato with carrots. The men were all for the gluten free Christmas pud that must have been in the cupboard for the last five years.

But Christmas puds never die, enriched as they are in butter, sugar, alcohol and dried fruit. It took a few tries but Len finally managed to light the brandy, then vodka, poured over it.
