West Bow, Edinburgh

It was a beautiful blue skied morning.  Today's run took me through the Grassmarket crossing the bottom of West Bow to the Cowgate.  This is one of Edinburgh's most popular and picturesque streets hence it's not often you see it empty!   It was built between 1829 and 1834.  The bottom of this street is called the West Bow but the top of the street was renamed Victoria Street in 1837 after the Queen.

The well (water supply) in the foreground was put up by the town council in 1674.

The rest of the day was a 'marigold' day!
