New day, new year

A beautiful morning to start off the new year. M and I take a bracing walk from a village nearby and discuss whether our hopes for Christmas were fulfilled. 
When we stopped for coffee and brandy, this was the view.
Let’s hope that when we get through Omicron there isn’t a worse variant ready to spring up somewhere. It seems that with the cost of living going up substantially that life is going to be tough enough for many without having to battle Covid. 
May 2022 be better for everyone!
