On the Hunt

Fletcher and I spotted this Red-shouldered Hawk while on our morning walk. She was high up at the top of an Oak tree. Since the image was strongly backlit, I had to work on it quite a bit in LR, trying to get the colors 'right'. Most of the trees that are going to loose their leaves have done so, making it much easier to see the birds. The hawk kept her eyes on us but never seemed concerned that we were below her. I believe our local creatures have become accustomed to seeing me with the long lens and usually allow me to get 'fairly' close to them.
