Now, as I see it......

This afternoon we had a walk out on the marsh.  Not a long walk; after the mild weather recently we both underestimated how much colder it was and neither of us had a hat or gloves so with a north wind we didn’t stay out long.  A lot quieter though, now that most of the festive visitors have left for home again.  Lots of birds around including a juvenile Cormorant with a distinctive light coloured breast, a Kingfisher that we got a really good view of through the binoculars but was too far away for a photo, and many ducks and geese grazing on the marsh.  My main shot is looking out across some of the pools and scrapes; I liked the ‘layer cake’ effect of the different colours, whilst I’ve added an extra of ducks on one of the marsh pools.
