Northwest memories

When I lived in Port Townsend in Washington state in the northwest of the U.S. there was a lovely long stretch of beach - it was called North Beach - far down after you'd walked about an hour you'd find these amazing old mussel shells washed up high on the strand - they were over 6 inches long and big enough to serve soup in - they were thick and strong, mottled and knarled but lovely. I joined these two together and stuck them with strong glue. They bring back memories, dreams and hopes.
