The Lozarithm Lens

Chippenham (Wednesday 5th January 2022)

On New Year’s Day I discovered that when I pulled the charging cable out of my trusty iPad, the end of the connector (see Extra) somehow broke off and stayed inside the socket, meaning that no other cable could be plugged in, and that once the current charge in the iPad ran out, the iPad would be dead as it could not be connected to the mains. Naturally this happened on a bank holiday weekend.

I feared I would have to brave the nightmarish Apple showrooms in Bath to be charged a small fortune and have to leave my precious device with them for a week or more, but a shop in Chippenham called Fone Zone were able to fix it within the hour, to my great relief. I spent the hour taking my first swan blip of the year from beside the Avon, and a few others, two of which are added as Extras, thanks to the new 2022 supply.

The second Extra was taken in St Mary Street to catch the mid afternoon light on the bare trees.

James Holden - The Inheritors (2013)
This caught my ear on a late night Radio Three programme this week. For all of Radio 6's qualities, when it comes to having an extremely wide musical palette they are easily outclassed by Radio Three shows such as Late Junction, Night Music and Unclassified.
