Evicted

Back to Stonebow again just before midday to find this fine fellow sitting on his own on the bank of the small pond. He's evidently got the message that he's  no longer welcome in the family. His siblings were on the small pond but Mum and Dad were taking care to keep their distance from them.

As Basil and I walked on to the large pond, I heard a flapping of wings, unmistakably a swan in flight but whether it was one of the other cobs or his Dad, I couldn't say. All the cygnets walked over to the large pond and then seemed at a loss, so after Dad went back to the small pond they followed him. No family reunion though.

Beautiful day despite it being so cold. So Len and I decided to drive over to Staunton Harold garden centre restaurant for a GF panini for me and a mouthwatering pasty for Len. We shared the GF fudge cake. Too  much for one person.

Called in on Colin on the way back to deliver two bags of bark that Len had bought for him.
