Myrrh…

……………………Gold & Frankincense

Epiphany is traditionally celebrated the 12th day after Christmas, - on January 6th.

It is a celebration of the Three Wise Men who followed a star to visit the baby Jesus.

They brought gifts of Gold, Myrrh and Frankincense - all shown in my blip today.
- Frankincense is a resin obtained from trees of the Boswellia genus, and is the pale yellow piece
- Myrrh is also a resin, obtained from trees of the genus Commiphora, and is the red-brown piece.

Thank you for enjoying the beauty of yesterday’s lily. Today I have four magnificent blooms open.
