Cold Sun

Wind speeds in the twenties pushed temperatures from freezing to unbearable. The weak sun made no impact and light snow stung my eyes. Needless to say I didn't stay out very long, only to capture three shots, before scampering back to defrost.

The backlit trees against the light stood out for me straight away. I find the shape of their silhouette interesting, like a pair of hands with very long fingers splayed out. But it was the pale warm colour of the light contrasting with blue ice that made the image for me.
