Whirlwind

Still well below freezing today, but at least the wind died down and the sun was out. I managed to stay out for a while longer, hunting for half buried treasure in the nearly all white snowy landscape.

This pile of leaves struck me, as though a whirlwind had dumped them there, like sticks in a game of pick-a-stick, which I recall playing as a child at grandma's. I liked their arrangement, in particular the long thin bits which create lines, giving the image movement and lead the eye around.
