Behind bars

Sad but they have to be parted, they just don't get on. 

Now for the saga:-
Yesterday, Thursday, P decided to have a new battery fitted on the car and went online and found Halfords did fitting on the drive, so put details in and made an appointment for today, Friday,,  between 8am and 8pm. but was worried when there was no confirmation email.  So later went on the site again and put in the order number which came up invalid. Slight panic,  had she been scammed. The site looked different to the previous one and she was sure when she went to the booking site that wasn't like the first one. A lot of money to loose, but she had paid through Pay Pal so did what she could to stop the payment. Then rebooked an appointment for Saturday, this time got an email confirmation as you usually do. 
Just in case we did spend the day making sure someone was in all day but with not much hope, and the thought of 2 large payments out of her bank account, which she did keep checking but only 1 payment had come out so hopefully she had stopped one of them.
3.45pm a van drew up outside, with Halfords on the side.....ooops it wasn't a scam site, so after he fitted the new battery, we had to ring up and cancel the Saturday appointment. Not as easy as you think, I don't know where the person working from home was but the line was terrible and I had to keep repeating things to him although he did say he could hear me ok I couldn't hear him for the interference, eventually he did confirm he would cancel Saturdays appointment.

So the last 2 days were a bit traumatic to say the least. Lets hope the weekend is quieter, and only one payment comes out of the bank or it will be more phone calls.

Today started with sleet and rain on and off, then about 10am it stopped, the sun came out and although still cold it was quite a nice day till about 4pm when it started raining again, now its very frosty.

Had a nice chat with my sister in law in Liverpool, we have kept in touch more since the pandemic started. Hopefully we will meet up at the wedding of my Granddaughter this coming June.
