A) Check Pond level more often.  The "Fall" is a trickle as the timed flow has just cut out, NOT because the water level is down to the pump top.
B) Throw out another 1/2 Cwt of Water Forget-me-not.  P. D. Q. 
C) Attack some of those ruddy Dandelions while still blatant and unhidden.
