Life's Little Moments

Uh oh

Another casualty of our very own Weapon of Mass Destruction. A friend gave us a bag of children’s stuffed toys and we’ve found that they last a little longer than most of the plush dog toys we buy. This little bear, however, was quickly “blinded” and then started losing its stuffing. That is always when the toy goes in the bin. Even though Jax spits the stuffing out as soon as he separates it from the toy, why beg trouble. Anyway, he’s now sprawled in front of the fire, fast asleep - do doubt dreaming of eviscerating more toys.

It’s bitter cold out so we’ve kept walks short. Hubs took him to the park this morning and I took him out on the Lane this afternoon. I think I will take him over to our friends’ farm tomorrow and see if I can get him to run. He loves the snow and seems to want to run in it, but hard to do on a leash.

SIL is coming to stay for a few days. Her roommate is having Covid symptoms and hasn’t been able to get a test yet so safer for SIL to stay here. (SIL got tested yesterday and is ok). Crazy that 2 years into this thing we are still having to take such extreme precautions. But when there are fragile people in your life, you do everything possible to protect them.

I’m thinking dark with dried cherries today…
