The ups and downs of roots

When I bought a bunch of flowers from Lidl at the end of November last year, I didn't expect them to last as long as they did. In the end, when we went away for Christmas, I left one stem of greenery in a small vase, simply as it looked so alive. Well, it was! When we came home in January it had sprouted roots. I've now planted it in a pot and look forward to small yellow carnations (or pinks?) in due course. Good value, methinks! And as we uproot it's rather nice that something has taken root to accompany us as we move.

Very late blipping as I've been busy all day and then flopped in front of videos all evening. Tomorrow's going to be a long and busy day, too. Will catch up anon.
