Rock pooling

Today we stopped circling the island and chilled out a little. Kite flying in the morning and rock pooling in the afternoon.

Another collage because I wanted to give you a taste of rock pooling but realised I have not shown you the whole island yet. So bottom right is the island from the gravel spit, known as the Diorlin, which is submerged at high water. It takes about 20 min to walk across the diorlin from the Campbeltown main road to Davaar island.

The rest of the shots I took while rock pooling and I love the colours. The sea was also a most fantastic blue green colour today.

No wine left here and hardly any food so it seems like we will be heading home tomorrow. If you fancy a taste of island life then I highly recommend staying in one of the cottages which are advertised here. You do not need to carry your things across the diorlin because land rover transport will be provided on arrival and departure.

Last Davaar blip tomorrow
