Hunkering down

Today the weather was awful, heavy grey skies and almost constant rain, so hunkering down was the only option. We attended to the clearing of our wardrobes and office while Peggy Sue decided to take it easy.
Several years ago we decided that once our business was sold, we would turn our office and dressing room into a smaller dressing room and office plus an en suite. Our first issue was that we didn't sell, so the existing larger office was still needed.  Finally we did sell in December 2019, but by the time that I had wrapped up the financial side of our business, the Pandemic was upon us  so we couldn't even sort and clear our stuff, let alone get our builder to come round.  So 2020 slid into 2021  and my arthritis and then  hip replacement were our main concerns and it was not the time to get the builders in.  We next agreed that they would come in October of 2021, but they didn't.  After a few exchanges of messages and phone calls they have agreed to start this coming week, now that everyone has recovered from Covid.  So fingers are crossed that finally the en suite is going to happen!
