Slavonian Grebe

A few of these winter in Orkney, but they don't breed here, which is a shame as their breeding plumage is pretty spectacular.
The weather forecast was for mainly sunny, so it was mainly rainy, so I spent only a couple of hours around Lochs of Harray and Stenness. The extra is of a view of the Ring of Brodgar across a flash pool.
