Nidderdale from Coldstones Cut

We strolled up to the Coldstones Cut above the town Pateley Bridge this morning. It was absolutely freezing up there, but the views are spectacular. There was still quite a lot of snow and ice around up there too. 
The stone structure provided no shelter from the icy winds, so we didn't hang around; a few quick photos and we went back down into Pateley for coffee. 
There is a shot of the enormous Coldstones Quarry in the extra. I blipped this a while ago, and I am sure the quarry has become deeper and larger since then.
